About this accommodation

Our gorgeous Peak District campsite is enjoyed by respectful couples who appreciate the standard of our facilities and the peacefulness our relaxing location has to offer. We are proud to be a member of Tranquil Parks, supporting adults only UK holiday parks.

Located mid-way between Buxton and Bakewell and accessible from the major cities of Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham and Sheffield in less than 90 minutes, Longnor Wood is the perfect spot for Peak District camping and is open all year (campsite closes between 10th January and 1st March).

We offer dog-friendly camping in the Peak District, with up to 2 well-behaved dogs being welcome free of charge on our touring and tent pitches. All our all-weather hard-standing touring pitches have 10amp electric and our amenity block is spotlessly clean, with plenty of close reach drinking water & waste disposal and recycling points. There is also a small, licensed shop and Information Point on site, as well as board games and DVDs to borrow. We stock a range of local produce, Peak District real ales and a selection of essentials. We hire fire pits (guests are not allowed to use their own) but do not allow open fires and there are no gazebos or generators allowed on site.

If you're looking for camping sites near Bakewell, caravan sites Buxton, campsites near Chatsworth House or simply camping in Derbyshire with electric hook-up, our Peak District holiday park is an ideal choice. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and there are far ranging views of the Peak District hills, particularly from our dog walk field. Longnor Village is about 2 miles away and makes a nice circular walk from the site. Tents welcome all year round.
