What's On In The Peak District

The location of Longnor Wood, in the heart of the Peak District, means we are an ideal location to base yourself to enjoy the range of local Peak District attractions and events. You can also follow us on Facebook to find out more about what’s on in the Peak District. Longnor Wood is a 20-minute drive from both Buxton and Bakewell where you can enjoy craft fairs, food and farmers markets and a range of local shows at the Pavilion Gardens. The Peak District Makers Market takes place the third Sunday of every month at the Peak Village Outlet in Matlock.

For a spectacular experience why not seek out a show in Peak Cavern which has a pop-up cinema and hosts a string of concerts including its famous Christmas carol concert? The Y Not Festival takes place in Matlock every July.

The Summer sees various agricultural shows take place including Staffordshire County Show, Bakewell Country Festival, Leek and District Agricultural Show and the Ashbourne Show. Seasonally, Christmas markets take place at Chatsworth Estate, Matlock Victorian Christmas market, Denby Pottery Village and the Mercatum Christmas Artisan Market at Haddon Hall. The Chatsworth Estate also hosts the annual Chatsworth Country Fair, held each September.
